We have an exciting opportunity for a DISTRICT SALES MANAGER - this position will be located in Southern California, based out of our West Region office in Cypress, CA. The position requires up to 20% overnight travel.
Objectives:
- Develop and execute a successful sales and market-penetration strategy to achieve orders and growth plans for the Mahr product lines in the district.
- This role encompasses account management of existing customers, with a strong emphasis on achieving sales in new and emerging segments.
- Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with key distributors
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure achievement of company goals and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Execution of a sales business plan in an outside sales role, as part of a Regional Sales team.
- Experience in dimensional metrology and associated principles of manufacturing.
- Experience in outside industrial sales of metrology equipment (preferred) or closely related technical product.
- Capital equipment sales experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to create and develop lasting relationships with both customers and colleagues.
- Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- A professional approach to sales, account management and business development.
- The successful candidate will proactively drive personal and company success.
- A technical degree is required or commensurate military and on the job training.
