Pen Underwriting is looking for an experienced Motor Underwriter to join the Hazardous Goods & Environmental team and help us grow our motor insurance portfolio based in Leatherhead.

• Support the motor underwriting function by providing technical expertise and handling referrals for both new and existing business.
• Work closely with brokers to build strong relationships, support new business, and retain existing clients.
• Ensure compliance with our underwriting governance and collaborate with the Head of Motor to improve processes and policies.
• Manage capacity relationships, participate in portfolio reviews, and stay on top of market trends and regulatory changes.
• As a mentor to junior underwriters, you’ll foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
• Refine pricing strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations, including FCA requirements.
