Overview
Pen Underwriting is looking for an experienced Motor Underwriter to join the Hazardous Goods & Environmental team and help us grow our motor insurance portfolio based in Leatherhead.
This is a great opportunity to use your technical expertise, build strong broker relationships, and contribute to our success. If you’re passionate about underwriting and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
How you'll make an impact
- Support the motor underwriting function by providing technical expertise and handling referrals for both new and existing business.
- Work closely with brokers to build strong relationships, support new business, and retain existing clients.
- Ensure compliance with our underwriting governance and collaborate with the Head of Motor to improve processes and policies.
- Manage capacity relationships, participate in portfolio reviews, and stay on top of market trends and regulatory changes.
- As a mentor to junior underwriters, you’ll foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Refine pricing strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations, including FCA requirements.
About You
