Status: Full time, exempt
Location: Remote
Reports to: Principal Narrative Strategist
Salary Range: $90,590- $95,340, depending on location.

Transgender Law Center (TLC) is the largest national, trans-led organization working to set all people free. ( SUMMARY
The Trans Agenda for Liberation Narrative Lab (Trans Narrative Lab) builds the bench of LGBTQ advocates trained in strategic communications, narrative, and movement building strategies.Through our messaging research and narrative interventions, we guide activists and advocates, organizations, and movements through coordinated narrative campaigns, infrastructure building, and campaign development that furthers the goals in the Trans Agenda for Liberation. The Trans Narrative Lab guides TLC through experiments in mass movement, culture, and media narrative strategies to advance trans liberation.
TLC seeks a talented strategist to manage the Trans Narrative Lab's training and narrative infrastructure work. The Trans Narrative Lab Manager will maintain close relationships with Narrative Lab fellows, state and national trans and LGB organizations, design and implement a power building curriculum for LGBTQ advocates to sharpen their narrative skills, and serve as a facilitator and strategist on the narrative interventions and experiments housed by the Narrative Lab.
We seek someone with experience in state based advocacy work, who has blended organizing, policy, and strategic communications skills to advance campaigns. These skills are critical in informing how the Trans Narrative Lab supports state or regional focused organizations. Strong facilitation and training skills are required, and past experience developing and managing coalitions is welcome. A background in other issue areas besides trans and LGBQ advocacy is preferred, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop curriculum, coordinate with internal and external facilitators, and direct training activities for Narrative Lab fellows, trans and LGBQ organizations, and key constituencies
• Utilize data and metrics to analyze what organizing approaches and training content are working and adapt to setbacks to continually improve the program performance
• Utilize the best and most effective offline and online organizing tactics in order to build and maintain relationships with Narrative Lab fellows and their organizations, state and national LGBTQ organizations, and allied movements
• Support the Principal Narrative Strategist in establishing TLC as the definitive source of research, implementation, and strategy on trans liberation narratives
• Execute narrative organizing strategies to support trans rights and progressive policies in the United States
• Coordinate with speakers, vendors, registrants, and other program participants, including issuing, soliciting, and evaluating proposals; generating contacts; arranging logistics; and providing support before, during, and after an event's completion
• General administrative support including but not limited to: crafting and editing of presentations, oversight of listservs/email lists, maintaining calendars and meeting summaries
• Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• 5-7 years of field / organizing, policy, and/or communications experience working on a political or issue-based campaign
• Effective communicator capable of coordinating between various stakeholders and making policy and legal information relatable and accessible to all people
• 3-5 years of experience leading coalitions or campaigns in state and/or regional organization
• Strong writing and research skills
• A demonstrated commitment to racial, economic, and gender justice and an understanding of the communities TLC represents.
• Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and move multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong attention to detail
• Experience working in teams with people from various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, educational, religious, sexual, gender, disability, and generational backgrounds
• Willing and able to travel
