Summary:
Responsible for all warehouse related activities including material handling, shipping, receiving, material handling equipment maintenance and any other tasks as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ø Directs storage and distribution activities of the company.
Ø Ensures products, parts or supplies are shipped, distributed or received in an efficient manner.
Ø Receives incoming and ships outgoing material and products. Counts items received or shipped and checks against packing lists, recording any discrepancies. Removes shipped materials from delivery vehicles and moves to designated storage areas.
Ø Follow guidelines / regulations for FDA and GMP compliance with regard to CSP standard operating procedures.
Ø Ensure all inbound and out bound required shipping documentation is placed in designated areas.
Ø Operates hand truck and forklift.
Ø Document information relating to receipt, storage and distribution of materials.
Ø Directs the company's program for transport when it is responsible for the costs.
Ø Evaluates and selects a suitable route and transport method. Completes all necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
Ø Examine claims for loss or damage and approvals for processing.
Ø Appraises shipper quality, timeliness, and charges.
Ø Recommend shipping containers and suppliers and places orders with purchasing department.
Ø Perform activities to monitor and maintain inventory control of products and materials.
Ø Monitors production schedules and expedites the flow of materials through production areas.
Ø Conduct or monitor lift-truck certification.
Ø Suggests improvements to procedures and actions to improve timeliness and costs.
Ø Maintain a clean and debris free warehouse. This includes dusting, floor sweeps, floor scrubs/mops, trash etc.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent GED. Three years related experience or training in the field. Ability to learn proper operation of forklift and pass required driving examination. Computer literate to include PC skills.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Good phone and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear.
