Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, sandwiches, and side dishes according to menu specifications
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Support the cooking process by monitoring food items during preparation and ensuring timely completion of dishes
• Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and sanitized after use
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to plan menus and execute meal preparations efficiently
• Assist with catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Demonstrated food preparation, cooking, and food handling skills in a restaurant or food industry setting
• Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques
• Experience with food service operations, including catering or serving is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations
