Maintenance Assistant

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on various equipment and facilities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including logic controllers.
• Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or improvements.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with residents or clients during maintenance visits.
• Execute residential painting projects as required.

Skills

• Proficiency in working with logic controllers and basic electrical systems.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs.
• Ability to fabricate components using various tools and materials.
• Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing.
• Competence in reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Experience in facilities maintenance across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Capability to maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Welding skills are a plus for fabrication tasks.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques is beneficial.
