Armed Security Officer – Secure Industrial Facility

Job Summary

We are seeking professional, dependable Armed Security Officers to provide security services at a secure industrial facility. This position requires strong judgment, reliability, situational awareness, and strict adherence to post orders.

This is a deterrence-based armed post, not a "warm body" assignment. Officers are expected to observe, report, control access, and respond appropriately while minimizing risk and liability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional armed presence
• Control and monitor facility access per post orders
• Conduct patrols and security checks of assigned areas
• Observe, document, and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and access policies
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site management

Firearms & Equipment Standards

• Officers will carry a duty firearm in accordance with company policy
• Officers must demonstrate safe handling, weapon retention awareness, and firearms proficiency
• Approved duty holster with active retention is required
• Initial and ongoing firearms qualification is mandatory

(Specific firearm and equipment standards are provided during training.)

Licensing & Training Requirements

• Georgia Exposed Weapons Permit (EWP) preferred but NOT required at time of application
• Company-sponsored training is available for qualified candidates to obtain the EWP
• Candidates must be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm under Georgia law
• Successful completion of all firearms training, qualification, and policy acknowledgment is required before assignment to armed duty

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm under Georgia law
• Clean criminal background (background check required)
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow post orders and chain of command
• Professional communication and report-writing skills

Preferred Experience

• Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Experience working controlled-access or high-security environments

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
• Ability to remain alert and focused throughout the entire shift

• Strict compliance with post orders, safety rules, and firearms policies

Failure to comply with policies or training requirements may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
