Electrical Apprentice

The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This position is designed to provide hands-on training while developing the skills, knowledge, and work habits required to advance toward Journeyman Electrician status.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment

• Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and mount electrical boxes

• Install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and electrical panels under supervision

• Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly

• Test electrical systems using appropriate testing devices

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and electrical codes

• Load, unload, and organize materials and tools on job sites

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

• Attend required training, classes, and apprenticeship schooling

Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

• Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately

• Participate in safety meetings and job hazard analyses

• Work in compliance with OSHA and local electrical codes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Opportunity to advance to Journeyman Electrician and Lead Electrician roles
