Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating with attention to detail and safety
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to uphold health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to execute catering orders and special event menus seamlessly

Requirements

• Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques across different cuisines
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
• Experience with meal preparation, food industry operations, and kitchen equipment use
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
