Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive patient care strategies
• Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote optimal communication skills
• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to meet evolving goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily routines

Requirements

• Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction
• Prior school experience or pediatrics background is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions
• Experience conducting patient assessments and interpreting medical terminology effectively
• Familiarity with early intervention practices and developmental milestones in children
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage young patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapy methods to meet individual patient needs in a compassionate manner
