We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Speech-Language Pathologist to provide maternity leave coverage within our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients across various settings, including clinics and schools

- Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive patient care strategies
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote optimal communication skills
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to meet evolving goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily routines
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction
- Prior school experience or pediatrics background is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions
- Experience conducting patient assessments and interpreting medical terminology effectively
- Familiarity with early intervention practices and developmental milestones in children
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage young patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to meet individual patient needs in a compassionate manner
