Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team toward achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, management, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in retail management. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, and implementing effective merchandising strategies to drive store success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to optimize sales opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining budgetary controls.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training & development programs.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints effectively, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote store products and services within the community.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative duties related to store operations.
- Utilize management skills such as budgeting, inventory management, retail math, and sales management to improve overall store performance.
- Maintain effective communication with staff at all levels and foster a team-oriented environment.
Skills
- Strong leadership with supervisory experience in retail or grocery stores.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution.
- Experience with inventory management systems (POS), stock control, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Skilled in payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and retail math.
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stock stocking and inventory control.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail environments; experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Administrative experience including phone etiquette and record keeping. This position offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a vibrant retail team while contributing directly to the success of the store through strategic management and exceptional leadership skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45, $55,393.14 per year
