Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures a safe, clean, and organized work environment that meets company and regulatory standards. Duties include cleaning production areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and offices, as well as handling minor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and scheduled cleaning of manufacturing and warehouse floors, equipment exteriors, and workstations.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize all production and non-production areas.
• Empty and clean trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms and break areas.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and chemical handling practices according to company safety guidelines (e.g., SDS).
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
• Operate floor scrubbers and other custodial equipment safely and effectively.
• Respond to spills and sanitation issues promptly to prevent hazards or production delays.
• Support special cleaning projects such as deep cleans, seasonal maintenance, or audits.
• Communicate with supervisors about safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or supply needs.
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA standards.
• Ability and willingness to complete other duties as assigned.
• This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners).
• Basic knowledge of cleaning agents and chemical safety.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
