Position: Warehouse Selector

About the role:

The Warehouse Selector is responsible for utilizing an electronic Customer Order Pick List, and locating, picking, palletizing the order for shipment. The Warehouse Selector will also be trained in inspection and processing of Customer Orders and ensuring quality of the product and accuracy of selection. The Warehouse Selector is an important part of the Jack Richeson and Company team as they help to ensure the company meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.

What you will be doing:

  • Utilize computer tablet to locate and pick product in a 75,000 square foot warehouse space.
  • Utilize pallet jack (manual and/or electric) to stack, palletize, and move product throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform QC inspection on product and verify product count accuracy according to the pick slip.
  • Prepare, Pack and Process customer orders.
  • Ensure correct shipping information is attached and pallets are properly prepared for shipping.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat, and well organized.

What you need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Demonstrated steady and consistent work history required
  • Average functional computer skill knowledge required
  • Prior warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge in chemical/paint mixing, manufacturing, and processes are preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand/walk to ten (10)+ hours a day
  • Ability to repetitively lift boxes/product 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and team lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to push/pull/navigate manual and/or electric pallet jacks of product through warehouse
  • Ability to safely drive lift/people mover to retrieve products from heights upwards of 15 feet
  • Must be able to respectively reach, grasp, and push and pull products from racking
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, stop, or kneel, reach above head, bend or twist the neck and trunk
  • Ability to understand basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read a tape measure and measure to the exact, specific measurement consistently
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to implement solutions quickly
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Extremely organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight production timelines
  • Must be thorough with a strong sense of attention to detail
  • Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal communication
  • Must be resourceful and initiative-taking
  • Self-motivated and driven individual
