IT Systems Administrator

Under the direction of the IT department at our parent company in Germany, the IT Systems Administrator's main responsibility is to ensure smooth and efficient computer systems in our company through regular assessment of existing technology, identifying areas for improvement, and implementation of new systems and software. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting technology issues and supporting the team with technology problems or onboarding of new technological equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports overall information systems implementation and administration in a variety of IT functional areas.
  • Follows company guidelines and procedures to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provides support to end-users, assisting with software and hardware malfunctions, setting up new equipment, and documenting and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Receive and handle IT inquiries and incident reports from end users.
  • Provide training to end users regarding the use of IT systems.
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, or on-site.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Perform hardware repairs and upgrades.
  • Document and track support cases in the ITSM.
  • Escalates and coordinates issues with the global IT team as needed.
  • Handling mobile device management, integration and support of mobile devices.
  • Document and track hardware changes, inventory and stock.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of networks and IT infrastructure on-site.
  • Supporting IT integration of production facilities and machines.
  • Support the implementation of new IT solutions and projects.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to improve IT services.
  • Handling external service providers.
  • Managing phone and internet connections on-site and mobile phone contracts.
  • Order hardware, software licenses or contracts within frame contracts and standard suppliers provided by the IT organization.
  • Implement and maintain quality management (QM) processes in accordance with regulatory requirements, especially in the medical technology sector.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
  • Proactively identify and report problems, provide suggestions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and organization.

Qualifications:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in IT service, analysis, or administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with software implementation and integration.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve goals in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, bend or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Compensation:

  • $95,000 to $118,000 annually to start, Depending Upon Qualifications
