Maintenance Supervisor/Technician

Job Overview

MUST HAVE MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, industrial electrician work and factory equipment troubleshooting. This role involves maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure smooth operations as well as supervising the maintenance team and coordinating daily activities with the Plant Manager.

Duties:

* Supervise the maintenance team. Make daily schedules for projects and follow up throughout the day with team to ensure directives are being followed. Report to Plant Manager with daily updates

* Conducts facility and equipment inspections and initiate repairs as necessary

* Diagnose equipment problems and plan for necessary repairs including disassembly and reassembly, fabrication and/or rebuilding of parts, and machine installation

* Create, manage and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for facility and manufacturing equipment

* Conduct inspections to identify faulty equipment

* Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment repairs

* Repair or replace defective parts

* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

* Utilize technical skills to address maintenance needs promptly

* Contact vendors to identify resolutions to repairs and parts availability

* Any other duties as assigned

Experience:

* INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE REPAIR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Proficiency in fast paced factory maintenance environment troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment repairs

* Familiarity with high and low voltage electrical systems

* Understanding of hydraulics systems

* Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills

Physical Requirements

• Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
• Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment.
• Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders.
• Ability to enter confined spaces to perform work, including spaces with small and limited access and egress.
• The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds
