Overall, Purpose

The Risk Operations Manager will have deep expertise in risk management to design and deliver executive and board-level presentation materials that drive clarity, insight, and action. This role uniquely blends executive storytelling, presentation design, data visualization, and automation to transform how complex risk topics are communicated to senior audiences.

The ideal candidate will bring consulting-level communication skills, an understanding of risk and regulatory frameworks, and a passion for using technology, automation, and data visualization tools to modernize how insights are presented and shared.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Presentation Development

  • Partner with senior risk leaders to create, refine, and deliver high-impact presentations for executives, board committees, and regulators.

  • Build and maintain a suite of board-quality presentation templates, visual frameworks, and data-driven reporting decks tailored to risk and compliance communication.

  • Translate complex risk, control, and regulatory topics into clear, compelling, and visually engaging storylines for senior audiences.

  • Ensure all materials adhere to brand standards and executive communication guidelines.

  • Collaborate with communications, analytics, and design teams to elevate the visual and narrative quality of all risk presentations.

Data Visualization & Analytics Integration

  • Leverage Tableau or Power BI to design interactive and automated risk dashboards and visualizations that feed into executive and board materials.

  • Integrate live or refreshable data from risk systems, BI platforms, and Excel into PowerPoint presentations to improve accuracy and timeliness.

  • Develop data visualization standards and templates for consistent, insightful reporting across risk teams.

  • Partner with analytics teams to ensure visualizations align with business narratives and decision-making needs.

Automation & Efficiency Enablement

  • Design and maintain automated PowerPoint templates, macros, and AI-driven workflows to streamline manual tasks and reduce production time.

  • Implement third-party and AI tools to enhance design quality and efficiency.

  • Lead stakeholder training on presentation automation, data visualization, and storytelling best practices.

  • Continuously assess and optimize the presentation production lifecycle through process improvement and technology innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, financial services or related experience.

  • Demonstrated success building executive or board-level presentations in PowerPoint.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Think-Cell, plus experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.

  • Strong technical skills in VBA, macros, or presentation automation tools.

  • Proven ability to translate data and analytics into compelling executive narratives.

  • Excellent design sensibility with attention to visual clarity, consistency, and storytelling.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-visibility environments with senior leadership.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in Big 4 consulting, management consulting, or a large financial institution's risk or strategy team.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered presentation and visualization tools.

  • Experience designing dashboards or visuals that directly support board and executive decision-making.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $104,000 - $130,000.
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $125,000 - $156,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
