Position Title & Overview:

We are currently seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to provide services in long-term care facilities. This role serves as a backup resource for routine daily blood draws and same-day STAT calls and is ideal for someone seeking additional income with a flexible schedule and no guaranteed minimum hours. In this role, you will perform skilled and compassionate specimen collections for facility residents while professionally representing our company at all times. This position is for a 1099 contract worker.

Work Schedule

• Shifts are offered based on need and availability
• You may accept or decline any shift offered
• Typical hours include:
• Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. (routine daily blood draws)
• Monday–Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (STAT calls)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections via venipuncture, primarily for an elderly population, ensuring proper labeling and handling
• Follow laboratory protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or infection
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and facility staff
• Complete required administrative and clerical documentation accurately and timely
• Travel to one or more long-term care facilities within approximately 20–25 minutes of Chester, VA

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or prior professional phlebotomy experience
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance

This is a part-time position that does not include benefits.

Pay: $ 20.00 per hour which includes travel time from the facility to the lab. Plus additional compensation for successful blood draws and STAT collections
