The Fireplace Center Bozeman is seeking a Fireplace Installation Technician to join our growing team. This full-time position reports directly to the General Manager and offers consistent hours —Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What You'll Do

As a Fireplace Installation Technician, you'll install gas and wood fireplaces, as well as freestanding stoves, in residential and commercial settings. You'll work closely with the General Manager, Our Sales Team, Install Manager to ensure every installation is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standard of customer satisfaction.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Installing fireplaces, completing final fire-ups, and performing maintenance as needed
  • Loading and unloading materials at the shop and job sites
  • Completing work orders and providing daily job and material reports to the sales team and office manager.
  • Managing inventory on your company vehicle and ensuring all required parts are on hand and keeping a clean, tidy truck.
  • Answering customer questions and providing a professional, friendly experience
  • Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and electronics. sup
  • Supporting the service team with maintenance and repairs as needed

While many days are thoughtfully planned, flexibility is essential. Priorities may change, requiring you to adapt quickly, work collaboratively, and maintain momentum. Success in this role comes from doing the right thing, taking pride in your work, communicating proactively with teammates and partners, and always finding a way to see the job through to completion.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of fireplace installation or service experience preferred (but not required—we'll train the right candidate)
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work as part of a two-person team
  • Clear, professional communication with supervisors and sales managers
  • Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and instructions, along with sending emails, reviewing the install schedule looking ahead at forecasted jobs and communicating with the sales team about upcoming jobs.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs or more
  • Strong problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to follow-through
