· Flexible & Field-Ready:
You're comfortable traveling to various locations, working flexible or overtime hours when needed, lifting equipment, running cable, and operating in both office and outdoor environments—even in challenging conditions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the IT Director, maintains computer hardware, software, network equipment and cabling. Functions in a totally confidential capacity.
Essential Job Functions &
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and repair computer hardware.
· Install and troubleshoot software applications and department specific applications.
· Contact 3rd party vendor support with issues in software applications.
· Manage Microsoft Office 365 email, including creating new users and assigning licenses, removing old users, and searching users emails as requested.
· Manage Microsoft server environments that include Windows server 2008, 2012, and 2016.
· Adding and removing users in active directory, resetting passwords and unlocking user accounts.
· Manage phone system including, replace user phones, edit names on phones, and troubleshoot issues with phone system.
· Update website as needed or requested and help users with website updates.
· Run cable as requested
Minimum Job Requirements:
· One (1) year of experience installing and maintaining hardware and software in a multi-user computer environment
· Driver License
· A combination of education, professional training and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Required Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
· Computers, networks, operating systems, installation of programs and hardware, basic equipment repair, troubleshooting Microsoft Office, and commonly used application programs.
· Maintain confidentiality
· follow written and oral directions
· Work flexible and overtime hours
· Stay current with technology
· Travel for training and various work locations, indoors and outside
· Maintain accurate records
· Work independently with minimal direction
· Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
· Ability to be deployed to remote areas of the County
· Work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time
· Must be able to lift lbs. occasionally, 25-50 lbs. frequently, up to 10-20 lbs. constantly
· Periodically or routinely lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. and carry long distances up to 20 feet
· Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time
· Walk over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces
· Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
Preferred Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Technical Certifications
