Summary

As a Cook at Hillsboro Health & Rehab, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. This position is essential in enhancing the dining experience and supporting our mission of excellence in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements.
• Plan menus that accommodate the nutritional needs of residents while ensuring variety and appeal.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all food handling practices.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure all meal plans meet health guidelines.
• Assist in catering special events or functions as required by the facility.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or fine dining setting.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for preparing nutritious meals.
• Knowledge of menu planning and dietary restrictions is essential.
• Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
