Construction / HVAC Project Manager

Position Summary
The Construction / HVAC Project Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned projects are executed in accordance with approved scope, schedule, and budget. This role owns project results from kickoff through closeout and serves as the primary point of coordination between sales, design, vendors, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm project scope, requirements, and expectations with the sales team and key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project financial plans, including vendor budgets and preliminary man-hour budgets
  • Ensure all contracts are fully executed by the appropriate Principal
  • Create project staffing plans and manage labor resources throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead project kickoff meetings to communicate scope, client expectations, schedules, standards, and budgets
  • Collaborate with the design team to finalize man-hour budgets based on discipline-specific work plans
  • Provide responsive, professional leadership to internal design and project teams
  • Work with clients to understand schedule expectations and establish interim milestones to ensure proper information flow
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, communicate action items, and monitor manpower requirements across disciplines
  • Update vendor budget spreadsheets with current man-hour projections and material orders while maintaining profit variance
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and stored appropriately
  • Monitor project budgets and understand how labor hours impact revenue, projections, and profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Respond to contractor and client requests for information in a timely and thorough manner
  • Identify root causes of issues impacting quality, schedule, or financial goals and resolve them through coordination and communication
  • Supervise job closeout activities, ensuring documentation, filings, and project debriefs are completed
  • Attend internal and external training to maintain and expand technical and professional knowledge
  • Coordinate project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical input
  • Provide ongoing updates on project schedules and ensure work aligns with approved plans

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 2–3 years of project experience OR

5+ years of practical experience managing similar construction or HVAC projects

  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage projects of varying size and complexity
  • Strong knowledge of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Solid understanding of project management best practices
  • Ability to adjust strategies midstream when conditions change
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building and client management abilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resources efficiently

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (8-hour shift)

  • Location Requirement: Hurst, TX Must be able to commute or relocate prior to start date)
