Auto Body Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair estimation, customer service, and automotive diagnostics. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and coordinating with technicians and customers to ensure quality service delivery. The Auto Body Estimator will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer care and efficient repair processes.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs needed
• Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and costs
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure repairs are completed according to estimate specifications
• Manage service writing documentation and maintain detailed records of all estimates and repairs
• Assist with parts ordering and inventory management as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns promptly
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing
• Stay updated on the latest automotive repair techniques, including transmissions, suspension, brake repair, diesel engine repair, and other specialized services

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or auto service management background
• Strong auto estimating skills combined with knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
• Experience in auto body repair estimation and service writing software proficiency

Pay: $58, $70,188.18 per year
