Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. You will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining inventory control while providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train and develop kitchen staff in food handling, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Implement and enforce food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS for order management and cash handling.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, menu planning, and cost control strategies.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
- Familiarity with quick service or casual dining.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training & development.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Proficient in cash handling and using POS systems (Aloha POS).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Previous experience in hospitality management or restaurant management is highly desirable.
