What You'll Do:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and documentation of the organization's information systems. This role provides leadership for IT projects, guiding systems through planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The IT Manager evaluates and recommends software solutions and leads their successful implementation across the organization.
The IT Manager ensures reliable and secure IT operations by providing strategic direction, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. This position works closely with the Management Team to develop IT strategies, support enterprise growth, improve operational efficiency, and align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
End‑user support & service management- Assist end-users with day‑to‑day technical issues and requests.
- Record and document issues in the ticketing system; drive timely resolution and root‑cause fixes.
- Provide clear, proactive communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and set expectations.
- Design efficient IT systems aligned to business needs and technology standards.
- Coordinate internal/external developers and vendors to build, implement, and support solutions.
- Gather feedback from end users and continuously improve performance and usability.
- Plan and oversee upgrades, hardware/software deployments, and migrations (workstations, servers, M365 apps).
- Create and implement a plan to keep Moore's IT equipment, computers, and servers up to date.
- Create and oversee budgets for IT equipment and services; manage licenses and renewals.
- Monitor computer networks for security issues; investigate breaches and security incidents.
- Install and operate security measures (firewalls, email security, data encryption) to protect systems and information.
- Document security breaches, assess impact, and drive remediation and lessons learned.
- Develop company‑wide IT security best practices; research enhancements and recommend to management.
- Provide advice and technical training for users and power users.
- Keep abreast of technology trends; evaluate and introduce tools that improve reliability and productivity.
- Microsoft 365 environment: Tenant administration, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business (sync, permissions, retention).
- SharePoint administration: Site structure, permissions, external sharing controls, storage/retention policies.
- Identity & directory: Active Directory (on‑prem) and Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, SSO, MFA.
- Endpoints & OS: Windows 11, Windows Server (roles such as AD DS, DHCP/DNS, Print Server), driver/patch lifecycle.
- Virtualization & storage: VMware ESXi/vSphere, Synology NAS administration and backups.
- Networking & connectivity: Fortinet/FortiGate firewall/VPN administration; Starlink for remote/site connectivity and failover.
- Email security: Darktrace/Email administration (threat monitoring, release/safe‑list workflows).
- RMM & automation: NinjaOne RMM deployment, policy management, alerting, and scripted automation.
- Line‑of‑business apps: ComputerEase or Viewpoint (construction ERP/accounting) — installation, access, integrations.
