Equipment Assembler

Chemical Containers Inc. (CCI), a leading manufacturer of liquid handling solutions since 1983, is seeking motivated individuals to join our Assembly Department. We specialize in innovative products for agriculture, lawn & tree care, pest control, and more.We value a hardworking, team-oriented atmosphere and are willing to train the right candidates with potential, even if they have limited prior experience. Some assembly, fabrication, or plumbing background is preferred.

Position Overview As an Assembly Technician, you will assemble and plumb custom equipment in our manufacturing shops. You will work under the direct supervision of the Assembly Foreman and assist in other areas of assembly and fabrication as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble and plumb equipment and components according to specifications and blueprints
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (personal basic tool kit required)
• Read and interpret prints/drawings; apply critical thinking to solve assembly challenges
• Perform quality checks and minor adjustments to ensure products meet standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company procedures
• Collaborate with team members and take direction from supervisors
• Assist in other fabrication/assembly tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Plumbing, mechanical assembly, or related hands-on experience is a strong plus (we will train motivated candidates)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent attendance
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks for 8-hour shifts + overtime
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (may include climbing ladders, working at heights, or in confined spaces)
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)

Physical Requirements This role operates in a manufacturing plant environment. You will regularly be required to talk or hear, stand for extended periods, walk, use hands to handle tools/materials, reach with hands and arms, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Additional activities may include sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, crawling in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
