Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at our trendy, upscale restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all kitchen activities, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining the highest quality of food production and presentation. The Executive Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, inventory control, and maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence in fine dining.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire culinary team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Develop innovative menus that align with current food trends while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure adherence to high standards of taste and aesthetics
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and controlling food costs
  • Supervise food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth operations during service hours
  • Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from planning to delivery
  • Train staff on culinary techniques, food handling, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing schedules, and operational improvements
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within fine dining or upscale restaurants
  • Extensive culinary skills with expertise in food production, food handling, and kitchen management
  • Strong background in menu planning, food service management, catering, and banquet experience
  • Supervising experience with team management skills to lead diverse kitchen staff effectively
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and cost control strategies
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and certifications in food handling and sanitation
  • Experience in hospitality environments with a focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Ability to innovate while maintaining consistency in high-pressure settings
  • Culinary education or equivalent professional training preferred; hospitality or restaurant management experience is a plus

Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
