Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with meal preparation, including cooking and food handling according to established recipes and safety standards
- Support menu planning and presentation to ensure variety and nutritional balance
- Assist with food service operations, including serving guests and catering events
- Maintain proper knife skills for efficient food prep and presentation
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist in kitchen organization, inventory management, and stock rotation
- Collaborate with culinary staff to create high-quality dishes suitable for fine dining or catering environments
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals as required
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Experience
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or food service environments preferred
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, or culinary roles such as restaurant or catering service highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures essential
- Familiarity with fine dining standards, kitchen operations, and the food industry is advantageous
- Skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and serving are necessary for success in this role
- Strong knife skills and experience with food industry equipment are preferred
