Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team at a brand new restaurant in Cazenovia, NY called 64 Albany Pub & Grille. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring that all standards are met. Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilized.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
• Assist with catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food service practices.
• Experience in catering or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Familiarity with dietary aide practices is a plus.
• Passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn new cooking techniques.
