Commercial Division Manager

Job Overview

Soniq Windows is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Division Manager to oversee all commercial window and glazing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, managing takeoffs and submittals, coordinating installation activities, and ensuring commercial projects meet quality and performance standards.

This position requires deep knowledge of Division 08, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to manage commercial subcontractors, workflows, and communication with general contractors and architects. The Commercial Division Manager will play a critical role in developing efficient processes, supporting commercial bids, and maintaining strong relationships across the commercial construction industry.

Duties

• Review and interpret commercial plans, blueprints, and architectural specifications.
• Build accurate takeoffs, estimates, and quote packages for commercial projects.
• Prepare and manage submittal packages, RFIs, and necessary documentation.
• Oversee commercial installation procedures, quality control, safety standards, and compliance with project specifications.
• Manage and coordinate commercial subcontractors, scheduling, and jobsite expectations.
• Communicate with GCs, architects, project managers, and internal teams to ensure clarity on scope, timelines, and installation requirements.
• Support sales reps
• Ensure all Division 08 requirements—storefront, curtain wall, aluminum windows, anchoring, waterproofing—are properly executed.
• Monitor project performance metrics, identify workflow improvements, and report progress to leadership.
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure adherence to corporate operational standards.

Experience

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Proven experience in a commercial glazing, commercial window, or Division 08-related management role.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial plans, architectural details, and specifications.
• Hands-on or management experience with: Storefront systems, curtain wall, commercial aluminum windows and doors
• Demonstrated experience preparing submittals, managing RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with GCs, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Experience managing crews or subcontractors on commercial window or glazing installations.

Preferred (Not Required):

• Existing contacts with commercial GCs, architects, and PMs.
• Experience with estimating platforms or takeoff software.
• Proven ability to build or refine commercial workflows, SOPs, and quality-control standards.
