ROLE OVERVIEW

Cannady Group is hiring a Content Director to build and scale the personal brand of the CEO across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other major content platforms. This role is deeply strategic and highly executional: you will own the entire content process from idea to upload. Your north star is creating content that converts, not just content that performs. You'll manage production, lead platform strategy, direct vendors, and be in the trenches creating world-class content that drives audience growth and business results.

You'll need to thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and collaborate tightly with the CEO to bring their brand to life in ways that feel native, fresh, and dialed into what the market wants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and own the full content engine across YouTube (Shorts and Long-form), Instagram, LinkedIn, and Podcast channels
  • Pitch video concepts with smart packaging, titles, and structure — and then develop full outlines for review
  • Film long-form content directly with the CEO (often solo) and manage all logistics end-to-end (location, crew, gear, etc.)
  • Edit long-form content and spin it out into platform-native short-form and written content across channels
  • Own the full content lifecycle: from idea → scripting → filming → editing → publishing → promotion → reporting
  • Lead development of content calendars and own the execution and distribution of assets

Creative Production & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate shoot budgets, gear inventory, and production logistics
  • Work closely with the CEO to extract insights and package content that feels both high-value and native to each platform
  • Align with EA/Admin teams for scheduling and operational logistics

Platform Strategy & Brand Positioning

  • Develop and evolve the brand's positioning in the market and ensure alignment across all content
  • Identify the right shows, podcasts, and platforms for the CEO to appear on
  • Maintain strong platform fluency — adapting strategies to algorithmic changes and user behavior trends

Analytics & Optimization

  • Use tools like YouTube Studio, Meta Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, and third-party tools to track performance and inform strategy
  • Prioritize metrics that move the business forward — with a heavy emphasis on conversions, CTR, watch time, and impressions
  • Run and review quarterly content reports with the team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Curiosity around the subject matter CEO talks about
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, media production, and/or personal brand growth roles
  • Example of data backed growth from a previous channel/creator they worked on and led or were a significant contributor
  • Experience executing every step of the content process: ideation, scripting, filming, editing, distribution
  • Strong instincts for brand building, social platform nuances, and data interpretation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and give clear, constructive creative feedback
  • Proven experience managing and training small teams or freelancers and building lean content systems
  • Bonus: Experience scaling large audiences and/or working with influential founders
  • You've either built a machine or been inside one that scaled successfully

RHYTHM

  • Primarily 9:00am–5:00pm, with occasional evening commitments, including CEO dinners
  • Availability for frequent travel (Domestic and International)
  • Weekly meetings with Chief of Staff to review outlines, performance, and adjust strategy
  • Content cadence varies but typically includes:
  • 1 Long-form video per month
  • 3-5 Shorts per week
  • Quarterly content reports
