TACG is based in Pendergrass, Georgia. This position is on-site at TACG 1000 Valentine industrial Parkway, Pendergrass GA
Department Purpose:
Quality Assurance involves creating processes, protocols, and procedures designed to monitor, test, and inspect manufacturing processes. The goal is to ensure that production meets the specified requirements for each unit produced every time.
Position Purpose:
To effectively lead Quality Associates to support activities in process analysis, customer claim analysis, and product inspection to assure defect free products are delivered to the customer. Apply ISO9000, IATF 16949, 5S, TPS and other Lean Manufacturing methods under a continuous kaizen philosophy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain IMDS System.
- Ensure Department Hoshin Targets are being met.
- Ensure TICA Compliance to ISO9001 and IATF16949.
- Ensure Change Management is being followed.
- Ensure Document Control System is being followed.
- Ensure products are produced to meet or exceed customer quality expectations.
- Manage and implement countermeasures for warranty and customer claims.
- Implement and maintain visual management methods via Control Boards, Operation Manuals, and other visual methods.
- Promote continuous Kaizen to constantly reduce manufacturing cost.
- Follow the 5S program as it applies to the Quality Assurance
- Prepare short and long term planning analysis for Senior Management.
- Work with affiliate company personnel to establish and maintain a "world-class" Quality Management
- Mentor Junior level staff in leadership ideals and practices by promoting and maintaining activities to develop and improve skills.
- Promote a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
- Maintain high employee morale, minimizing staff turnover.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, & Abilities:
- Four (4) year college degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering preferred, or Equivalent Experience.
- 5-7 years working experience in a Quality Assurance function within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to ISO9000 Quality System or TS16949 and IATF16949.
- Advanced proficiency in process analysis, customer claim analysis and defect inspection.
- Ability to speak publicly and to make presentations to management with authority and confidence.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/JIT concepts.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural, team oriented environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word & Access
Supervisor:
- Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred
- Expressed knowledge, skill, and abilities for independent contribution and project management
- +10 years or more demonstrated experience in related field and role for successful independent contribution and full cycle project management
- "Increasingly independent judgment applied to determining techniques, procedures and criteria to solve problems"
- Evaluates problem, determines necessary resources, determines best methods and successfully solves problems
- Accomplishes significant phases of larger projects and may be involved in the initial planning of major projects; contributes effectively to cross-functional teams
- Performs broad range of work that requires increased creativity/ingenuity
- Takes on assignments that require greater investigation and research
- Displays communication skills that successfully informs management how a change of existing structure, practice or programs can benefit the organization
- Works on G&Os as they relate to Department Go and cover area where experience is most prevalent
- Applies the PDCA cycle to daily work processes & aspects of TICO Drive & Dedication
- Is involved in department schedules and budget completion
- Independently applies Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and Standardization practices
- Promote and foster activities and communication to create and maintain good associate morale
- Set example and confirm associates adhere to safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Promote kaizen activities, SEQDCM, lead team members on department G&O's
Physical Requirements
