About The Role
The Senior Customer Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships by acting as the primary point of contact throughout the entire order lifecycle. This position involves managing the flow of information between customers and internal departments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of RFQs, orders, and contract documentation. The role requires effective communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and organizational goals. The Senior Customer Support Specialist will also be responsible for tracking production progress, providing updates to customers, and supporting strategic initiatives to improve service delivery. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a customer service or support role within a manufacturing or defense-related environment. A strong understanding of ERP systems, US government contracting FAR requirements, and contract terms is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and internal teams. A high level of organization, attention to detail, and time management skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with team members. US citizenship or permanent resident status is mandatory to comply with security regulations.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers through professional and timely communication.
- Serve as an integral part of the sales team, supporting business development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Post RFQs to the quote log and follow up on incomplete quotation packages to ensure timely processing.
- Monitor and manage the quote process, ensuring quotations are submitted to customers on schedule and following up on open quotes.
