The Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) serves as the state-wide intermediary for the
out-of-school time (OST) sector. We exist to support the OST sector through advocacy, partnerships,
training, and technical assistance. The vision of the Michigan Afterschool Partnership is the OST

Project Scope
MASP is seeking up to 4 Quality Coaches that will perform the services outlined below to support
the Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) and 32n OST grantees in advancing program quality and
continuous improvement efforts. All services will be carried out
independently and in coordination with MASP staff, following mutually agreed-upon timelines and
deliverables:
Relationship Building
- Establish and sustain transformational, trust-based relationships with approximately 32n OST
grantee organizations. - Maintain consistent communication with grantees to share relevant network information,
resources, events, and opportunities. - Provide periodic summaries of grantee engagement and relationship-building
activities as part of progress reporting.
Coaching & Training
- Implement the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) process with assigned grantees to
strengthen program practices. - Conduct program observations using approved tools (e.g., YPQA, SL PQA, or SEL PQA) and enter
results into the designated data platform within agreed-upon
timelines. - Facilitate data-informed coaching and professional learning by:
Meeting with grantees to review data and support the assess–plan–improve process.
Guiding grantees in developing and implementing program quality goals.
Conducting follow-up sessions to review progress and adjust improvement plans as needed.
Providing targeted coaching, technical assistance, and professional development aligned with
grantee needs and priorities.
Data Management and Communication
- Maintain accurate and current tracking of grantee data and progress using approved data
systems or templates. - Share regular progress updates and insights with MASP's Quality Team to inform statewide
strategies, collaborative learning sessions, and Communities of Practice.
Collaboration and Convening Participation
- Participate in bi-weekly coordination meetings with the MASP Quality Team to align on
statewide coaching efforts and share learnings. - Engage in periodic check-ins with MASP to discuss project deliverables, outcomes, and
performance indicators, as mutually agreed upon. - Collaborate with MASP and MiLEAP partners to support monthly grantee meetings and related
learning sessions. - Assist, as needed, in the coordination or facilitation of workshops, events, or communities of
practice designed to support grantee development and peer learning.
Work Planning and Communication
- Manage project activities and timelines independently to ensure completion of all
deliverables. - Maintain reasonable availability for coordination and communication with grantees and MASP
partners during their typical operating hours, as needed to fulfill the scope of work. - Communicate work plans, schedules, and deliverable progress to MASP on a mutually agreed-upon
basis.
Perform occasional travel to in-state meetings, training sessions, or site visits, as mutually
agreed upon with MASP.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have experience and skills in the following:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building and managing data systems informed by team feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to coach individuals and teams in using data for decision-making.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across organizations.
- Knowledge of OST quality frameworks preferred.
Contract Terms and Compensation
This is an independent contracted position for $50,000 for January 2026- December 30, 2026, with
the option to renew should the grant continue.

- Three (3) Professional References (preferably previous clients)
- Proposal Narrative (1–2 pages) to include:
o Your relevant experience and approach to quality coaching
o Your experience implementing the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) or similar continuous
improvement frameworks.
o How you build and maintain transformational, equity-centered relationships with partner
organizations.
o How you align with MASP's mission and values.
Deadline: All proposals must be submitted electronically by 5:00 PM EST on December 3, 2025.
Late or incomplete proposals will not be considered.
