Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our mental health and behavioral health team. This role involves providing comprehensive psychotherapy, patient-centered care, and clinical assessments to diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and seniors. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, autism spectrum disorders, and other mental health conditions. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary environment that emphasizes evidence-based practices and holistic treatment approaches.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10, ICD-9, and CPT coding standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and crisis intervention.
  • Provide individual, family, and couples counseling tailored to client needs, including specialized therapies for pediatrics, geriatrics, Alzheimer's care, and working with people with autism or disabilities.
  • Utilize EMR system for accurate documentation of patient records, medical histories, treatment progress notes, and HIPAA-compliant medical documentation.
  • Engage in case management activities such as intake assessments, patient care coordination, provide psychotherapy,
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals to ensure integrated patient care; participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health or mental health counseling.
  • Offer crisis management services for patients experiencing acute and chronic mental health crises or trauma-related episodes such as PTSD or substance withdrawal.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards and ICD coding requirements; stay current with advances in psychopharmacology and mental health treatment protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills in areas like motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, special education strategies, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Experience

  • Valid licensure as an LCSW or LPC with demonstrated experience in psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
  • Proven expertise in delivering evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including children & family counseling, patients with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities, PTSD care recipients, geriatrics including Alzheimer's care, and individuals facing addiction challenges.
  • Familiarity with EMR system for documentation; knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health is preferred.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments involving diagnostic evaluation using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and medical records management.
