Part-time Recovery Coach – PROUD Program (Day-Time Hours)
Location: Greater New Haven Area
MCCA is honored to partner with DHMAS to serve the community through the PROUD Program: Parents Recovering from Opioid Use Disorders. PROUD supports pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder, in the Greater New Haven area.
We are seeking a Part-time Recovery Coach to join our PROUD Team. This role focuses on assisting clients referred for PROUD services in defining and achieving goals outlined in their Recovery Plan. The Recovery Coach provides peer support and case management to promote client and family wellness, using trauma-informed, client-centered approaches.
This position requires availability during day-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer support and case management to promote recovery from substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder.
- Collaborate with clients to set goals and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Support clients in areas such as education, employment, family wellness, and community involvement.
- Document clinical activities in client records as required.
- Assist the PROUD Program Supervisor and clinical staff as directed.
- Attend relevant training and participate in outreach and educational activities within MCCA and the community.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recovery Coach Certification or Recovery Support Specialist Certification from an accredited program, or willingness to become certified.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a complex interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of individual, group, and family system dynamics.
- Must have a Valid Connecticut driver's license and daily access to a car.
