Professional Bartender

Job Summary
Biryani Grill is seeking experienced and professional Bartenders to provide high-quality beverage service while ensuring responsible alcohol service and excellent customer experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and expertly preparing a variety of beverages. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, POS systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments such as fine dining establishments, or banquet settings. A passion for the food industry and hospitality, along with excellent math and sales skills, are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
• Provide professional and courteous service to guests
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with local and state regulations
• Properly check IDs before serving alcoholic beverages
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area
• Accurately enter orders and process payments using POS systems
• Monitor guest consumption and handle issues professionally
• Assist with bar inventory, restocking, and waste control
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service
• Ability to suggestively upsell food and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a bartender in a full-service restaurant or bar
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
• Knowledge of alcohol service laws and responsible service practices
• TIPS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Proven bartending experience in high-volume or fine-dining environments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Accurate cash handling and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and guest interaction skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and bar hygiene standards
• Experience with inventory control, stocking, and loss prevention
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to suggestively upsell food and beverage items while maintaining excellent guest experience

Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
