Essential Functions

• Thorough understanding of all Dining Room and Kitchen systems; must demonstrate the ability to run effective shifts in all Front of House aspects of the restaurant.
• Must be able to manage and delegate tasks to your team while being an exemplary shift leader.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests' expectations.
• Promptly address customer service issues and work with management to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Help food preparation staff when necessary.

Self-disciplined, initiative and outgoing. Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance. Ability to motivate fellow co-workers to work as a team to ensure that food and service exceed industry standards. Must be able to handle the pressures of turning tables over in a timely manner while also assisting with . Must possess communication skills for dealing with diverse customer base. Ability to juggle multiple tasks such as food and beverage orders while pre-bussing and assisting new customers. Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants.

Responsibility

Keeps management fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events). Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with Taegukgi policies and procedures. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness. At all times provides a favorable image of Taegukgi. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Work Environment

Restaurant setting is loud, fast-paced and high stress. Requires working in close proximity with fellow employees. Restaurant operates 365 days a year and serves alcoholic beverages.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Walk and stand during entire shift.
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
• Remain stationary for long periods of time.
• Frequently wash hands.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to manipulate fingers, hands and arms to lift grills, carry and wipe.
• Be able to hear and talk.
• Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This position regularly requires frequent late nights, weekends and holiday work. Applicant must be able to work 30+ hours weekly with flexible availability.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Bilingual.
