As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration nutritional needs and food preferences.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests and restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
• Train and mentor new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Cook is preferred, but we welcome candidates with a strong desire to learn.
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and meal preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
• Experience in menu planning or catering services is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are required.
