Travel Percentage:    Daily within facility offices
Job Shift:    M-F/8-5

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Housekeeper is responsible for the housekeeping of assigned facilities/offices to provide a clean and sanitary environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation functions where assigned within the facility.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors/spills, dust mopping, cleaning tables, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning/stocking restrooms.
  • Stocking, maintaining and transporting housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis.
  • Using appropriate equipment and supplies where required.
  • Assist in maintaining the inside of the building to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Providing excellent customer service to customers and guests.
  • Dusting, and polishing various surfaces.
  • Ensuring all offices/rooms are well-maintained and inspected according to standards.
  • Deep cleaning carpets, drapes, and upholstery.
  • Protecting equipment and ensuring there are no inadequacies.
  • Checking stocking levels of consumables and replacing them when necessary.
  • Communicates damages, deficits, and disturbances to supervisor as needed.
  • Handling reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • REPORTS TO:  Reports to the Maintenance Director and does not possess supervisory responsibilities.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    Must be able to lift, push and/or pull at least 40 lbs. Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, stretch, stand, sit kneel or walk for extended periods of time, must possess the ability to work independently and/or in a team, as needed.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Work will be completed primarily indoors; occasional work may be completed outdoors based upon the needs of the department.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must possess a minimum of six (6) months of work experience in housekeeping, janitorial or related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Comanche Nation motor vehicle policy.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass drug testing.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a background investigation
