Lead Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive knowledge of beverage service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves overseeing bartending operations, managing staff, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience in settings ranging from fine dining to nightclubs and banquet events. A background in food safety, POS systems such as Aloha and Micros, and beverage industry standards is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the bartending team to deliver high-quality service across all venue types, including fine dining, nightclubs, and banquet settings.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage POS transactions efficiently using systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels for bar operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging guests professionally, taking orders accurately, and managing special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Handle customer complaints or issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Train new staff members on proper serving techniques, POS operation, food safety protocols, and hospitality standards.
• Maintain a clean bar area during shifts and assist in closing procedures at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender with a strong background in food handling, serving, and hospitality environments such as restaurants, nightclubs, or banquet facilities.
• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and promote specials confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper alcohol service procedures.
• Experience in fine dining or catering environments is highly desirable; banquet experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and drink recipe measurements.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and oversee daily operations efficiently.
