Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic restaurant manager to lead our team at Shaggy's renowned for delivering world-class hospitality. Our establishment prides itself on providing an unparalleled dining experience that consistently puts the guest first*. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing full-service restaurants, along with exceptional team-building and training skills to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse team of hospitality professionals to consistently deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment that encourages creativity and accountability.
- Guest Experience:
- Uphold and embody our commitment to putting the guest first in every interaction.
- Ensure all service standards are met or exceeded, creating memorable moments that enhance the guest experience.
- Proactively engage with guests to address feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence:
- Manage daily operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, to ensure smooth service flow.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and quality control to maintain the highest product standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
- Financial Performance:
- Monitor and manage budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses to achieve profitability goals.
- Analyze sales trends and develop strategies to enhance revenue and efficiency.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotions and events that drive business growth.
- Training & Development:
- Implement ongoing training programs that enhance service standards and operational knowledge.
- Provide continuous coaching and feedback to empower staff and encourage career growth.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing full-service restaurants, preferably in a seafood-focused or waterfront dining setting.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a passion for developing talent.
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards and commitment to guest-centric service.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, inventory systems, and financial reporting.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of seafood preparation and wine pairings is a plus.
