Job Description
Dynamic, experienced
Business Development Specialist
who will identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand market reach, and achieve revenue targets, while upholding company values. This position is based in Memphis, TN, and will require occasional travel to client meetings and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Plan
: Analyze market conditions, understand industry trends, and design and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan.Generate Leads:
- Identify targets and create engaging presentations and proposals to meet client needs with customized solutions.
- Implement effective lead generating and nurturing activities with potential clients and strategic partners.
Maintain a robust pipeline using various channels, such as cold calling, networking, industry events, referrals, emails, videos, and social media.
Prospecting and Closing:
- Conduct meetings to identify opportunities and understand client needs.
- Suggest and close on appropriate technology products and services.
Meet KPIs and achieve sales goals as agreed upon with Leadership.
Client Management:
- Ensure client satisfaction through ongoing communication.
Maintain relationships with existing and previous clients, promote new products and services, and request repeat business and referrals.
Forecasting and Reporting:
- Maintain sales activity reports and provide regular forecasts.
- Analyze data to improve strategies and revenue.
Regularly survey clients to understand levels of satisfaction and respond accordingly.
Recommendations:
Suggest optimizations for business development strategies.Support Company Values:
Uphold the company's vision, mission, policies, procedures, confidentiality standards, and ethical behavior code.Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as may be appropriate.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum 3 years in outbound business development sales in Technology or SaaS.
- Proven lead generation, CRM software experience, and achieving sales quotas.
