Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee production processes, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing management, supply chain analytics, and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency and meet organizational goals. The Plant Manager will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and implementing best practices in lean manufacturing and ERP systems to foster a culture of excellence.

Summary

Directs and coordinates activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency, maximize profits and satisfy customer requirements by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The manager operates in a mesh products environment working with employees with multiple disciplines, addressing each operation of IWM International's operating unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works in and leads a collaborative team. Coordinates with peers and directs team to work as one unit within the context of IWM International's operations.

Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.

Coordinates activities of departments such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, maintenance, to effect operational efficiency and economy.

Works closely with the Finance Team to develop operating budgets.

Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.

Fosters our Continuous Process Improvement philosophy

Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.

Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 12 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 25 employees in the Weaving, Warping, Finishing, Painting, Inspection, Shipping and Planning. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This job requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the production of continuous goods products.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Must be fluent in English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP operating environments; must be competent in the use of the MS Office suite of products.
