We are seeking a qualified Operations Shipper/Receiver for our operations in Bay Minette, AL. This position is responsible for performing the daily processing of inbound/outbound shipments and keeping records of all products shipped and received. Monitors inventory, facilitates accurate rapid entry of data to ensure both timely product recording and shipment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensure inbound trucks have proper documentation and verify incoming shipments through physical counts
  • Process outbound shipments in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation and correctness of material involved including a photo log
  • Accurately interpret and enter high volume of data into the system in a timely manner in order for internal customers to monitor inventory, production and product movement across the yard
  • Distributes orders, waybills, etc. to designated recipients daily
  • Consolidate paper flow from yard and post correct information to proper location or person
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that customer specific requirements are met
  • Supports Transportation functions during an emergency response situation
  • Facilitate communication between Operations and Transportation as needed for successful and timely deliveries
  • Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy by way of reconciliation after cycle counts in production areas and coordinates annual inventory physical counts and reconciliations
  • Participate and contribute to company safety program
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalence
  • Experience: One year of shipping and transportation experience; one year of data entry experience in an administrative role; manufacturing experience preferred
  • License/Certification: N/A

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Previous experience with MRP systems is desired
