Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
  • Support clinical procedures such as administering medications, performing X-rays, and assisting during minor surgeries or procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and treatment details precisely.
  • Manage medical supplies, sterilize equipment, and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas to uphold safety standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings including emergency medicine, geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and Level I & II trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical environments such as outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, or emergency departments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding practices to ensure precise record-keeping.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
  • Experience supporting diverse specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, medical-surgical units, Geriatrics, PICU, or Level I & II trauma centers is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as X-ray imaging, medication administration, vital signs collection, and specimen collection confidently.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as urgent care or emergency medicine settings while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
