Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries
• Conduct product demos when appropriate to highlight features and benefits
• Upsell related products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks
• Assist in product demos and promotional activities to boost sales and customer engagement

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling better service for a wider customer base
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in fast-paced settings
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales practices will help you succeed in this role
