The Financial Analyst d/f/m provides consulting, support, and services to internal business partners as well as external stakeholders. The role involves business partnering with a particular focus on Manufacturing and will be an on-site role in Nussloch.
This position is responsible for developing appropriate and effective policies, procedures, and controls relating to financial management, accounting processes and procedures (GAAP), cash management, financial and strategic planning, tax compliance, and corporate reporting.
Main responsibilities include:
- Strategic evaluations: make-or-buy decisions, contribution margin analysis, and business case development.
- Financial planning: business plans, cash flow forecasts, standard cost analysis, and cash management.
- Inventory and supply chain: valuation, management, stock coverage planning, E&O (Excess & Obsolete) evaluation, scrapping, and logistics cost analysis.
- Performance tracking: KPI preparation (e.g., Bowler charts), cost center reporting optimization, and continuous improvement of reporting structures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Cross-functional collaboration with global teams (GSC, Finance, HR, IT, DBS).
- Statistical and fixed asset reporting (e.g., CAPEX reports, Federal Statistical Office alignment).
- Internal processes: handling cross-charges and participating in balance sheet reviews.
- Identifying and evaluating improvement opportunities.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge of financial metrics, accounting principles, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Skilled in SAP (FI/CO/MM) and advanced Excel.
- Fluent in German; business-level English.
