Responsibilities:
- Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipment orders.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for all outbound freight.
- Liaise with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and confirm delivery times.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any potential delays.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure data accuracy and report any variances.
- Verify that all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handle physical aspects of shipping, which may involve significant lifting.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with common shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Clear and concise communication abilities.
- Capability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- A strong understanding and practice of safety procedures.
