Join our bustling warehouse in Houston, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! This position is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from warehouse shelves based on order slips, then carefully packaging them for shipment. This involves using hand-held scanners to track inventory and confirm order details. You'll need to have a keen eye for detail to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked. The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume **logistics** environment is crucial. **Safety** is our top priority, so you must be committed to following all **safety** guidelines and wearing the appropriate **PPE**. Experience with order fulfillment and familiarity with warehouse systems are beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists and scanners.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packing materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and use required **PPE**.
- Meet picking and packing performance targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 30 lbs consistently.
- Familiarity with warehouse **logistics** and inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to **safety** standards and **PPE** usage.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
