We are hiring a Material Handler to join our busy logistics center in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is critical for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and transporting a variety of goods, ensuring that production and shipping departments have the supplies they need. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Transport materials to and from various departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stage materials for production lines, shipping, and other operational areas.
- Conduct routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring easy access to materials.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory verification processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and mandatory PPE usage.
- Report any damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring smooth material flow.
- Keep the work environment clean and free of debris.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant material handling equipment; certification is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, standing, bending, and carrying.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics principles.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
